So Staying under budget and getting everything you want is possible.
Happy planning!
People always tell me, “Oh, wow, you work as a wedding planner, you must have so many ideas!” yeah They’re right.
it’s almost overwhelming to see all our amazing vendors showcase the best pieces of their work and to see everything that’s out there!
In order to stay on budget, I tried to focus on two things that I thought would be most helpful. The first was selecting the one vendor I wanted to invest in, that I thought would be most beneficial. And second, how can I make things easier? Not only for the bride and groom while planning, but for all the guests who are involved!
Choosing the one vendor to splurge on was difficult, especially when everything is important. Do we choose the venue, the dress, the food, the music? So many things will be over and done with after one day, but as a wedding planner I do advice my clients to have a great photographer to capture the day, so they could keep all the memories for years to come.
Everything else would fall into place, but we wanted to find that perfect photographer. For you, it may be splurging on a live band, the dress of your dreams or the food to have a second meal to come when people get hungry again after all the dancing!
I advise a couple to saved money by renting a public garden park for their ceremony, and, since it was outdoors, any decorations would have competed with the beautiful garden, trees and flowers in nature, so no much decorations were necessary, and the photographer captured the natural beauty!
Secondly, I advice groom to make things easier. He was a youngster as I, so our think was a perfect match, people shares news online, whether it’s via social media, email or a website. So we took that and spun it into all things wedding.
He and is fiancé used a free facebook, twitter, instagram
All of these online tools connected to wedding planning
made everything streamlined and kept everything in one place for my clients and their guests.
