Wedding can be elaborate and very expensive or they can be fairly simple and affordable.
the decision of a wedding budget  is one that needs to be made by the groom and bride and their families.
set a total budget that the family can afford for the wedding and live within the budget.
if you want a good wedding but are not willing to throw your earn money away you can still have great wedding,
my advice on this is to contact an wedding  planner like
moment weddings

whatsapp/IMO 08022329915
for advice on how to have a great wedding within your budget.
i have planned weddings that are very elegant and elaborated  but very affordable,
i mean wedding that was suppose to cost  huge amount of cash but was planned with a token.
one thing that is very important for everyone to know is that half of the cost of a wedding
will be for the reception no matter how huge or low the budget might be.
we should all know that the number of guests we are inviting wil determine how much we will be spending.
the number of guests we are planning to host play a vital role on the budget.
the number of guests will determine the size  of the hall or tents, foods, drinks and almost everything about the wedding reception.
if you feel everyone you know should attend your wedding then be ready to spend your earn hard money.

The Perfect Bridesmaids

The Perfect Bridesmaids
The #PerfectBridesmaids
#story by and #Mr #Ajibade adebisi

Everyone has their role and their place at a wedding with everyone fulfilling a different duty, from guest invitations to ensuring the guests get home safely after the reception. I remember writing an article title #bridesmaid#duties and .#chiefbridesmaid #duties with I got a amazing comments from fans worldwide so that urges me to write this article you about to read now, this amazing article title how to be a perfect bridesmaid.
1. Don’t steal the bride’s thunder:-If you’ve already had your #weddingday, then look back with #happy #memories rather than trying to relive it through your friend’s #bigday. Or, if your day is yet to come, be happy for the #bride and trust that your moment will come #oneday. This is all about the bride, so remember this before you get carried away and steal the limelight. The #perfect #bridesmaid is there to support the #bride, not take her place.

2. Offer emotional support:-
It’s virtually inevitable that the pressure of wedding planning will get to the bride sooner or later, and when this happens, the perfect #bridesmaid will offer #emotional support. Whether that’s a pep talk to spruce up the bride, a shoulder to cry on or some considerate #counseling, every #bride needs a supportive friend in their #bridesmaid.
3. If you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all:-
The perfect bridesmaid will bite her lip when trying on an ugly #bridesmaiddress and keep her opinions to herself. Likewise, when #thebride is rambling away on a tangent, explaining how she wants #cirocat her #drinks #reception and an ice sculptures in the #room, just nod and smile sweetly and let the bride come to her own decisions to avoid offending her. It’s not your #wedding and it’s not your #money, so let her and the #groom make the decisions.
4. Be a personal trainer:-
Every bride wishes to look their best on their big #day. Don’t be the devil on the #bride’s shoulder, #eating #pastries and ice cream, when you could instead support her in her pursuit of #weightloss, toning up or improving #wellness. Having someone to exercise or start a new diet with is easier than going it alone. So, be the #perfectbridesmaid by kicking the bride into gear; why not go to a gym together or suggest trying your hands at some healthy recipes?
 5. Be everyone’s friend:-
The bride has enough on her plate without having to worry about her loved ones falling out. Pre-wedding, there are lots of opportunities for arguments or disputes, as excitement and nerves will be flying high and the pressure of the looming big day endures. But in order to be the perfect #bridesmaid, you must firstly avoid any quarrels by being placid at all times, and also try your best to resolve any potential fallouts between others.
6. Know the bride:-
The #weddingplanning process, the #bridalshower and the #weddingday itself all need to reflect the #bride and her personality. As a bridesmaid it’s vital to know your bride, her likes and dislikes. Is she a fan of #surprises? Does she hate the #spotlight? Ensure you #arrange any #bridalshowers, wedding day extras to suit the bride’s #tastes perfectly.
7. Be positive:-
The #perfectbridesmaid should always strive to make the best of a bad #situation. ‘Where there’s a will, there’s a way’ and ‘don’t sweat the small stuff’ should be the mottos for any perfect bridesmaid. Being able to think on your feet and offer solutions to less than ideal situations is what separates an adequate bridesmaid from a great one. If the bride is in floods of tears over a cancelled vendor or a typo on the wedding invitations, don’t panic with her. Instead, remind her of the bigger picture of what her wedding is about.

8. Respect the chief bridesmaid:-
Maybe you’re bitter that you weren’t chosen to be the #bride’s #chiefbridesmaid , or maybe you just don’t like being told what to do. But, like point five, you should always keep the peace for the bride’s sake. Remember, it’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.
9. Initiate wedding breaks:-
Planning a wedding can be like getting sucked into a vortex of swatches, vendors and mood boards so it’s important once in a while to break out of this cyclone and step back into the real world. As the perfect bridesmaid you should initiate breaks from all the preparation so the bride stays de-stressed and content, a movie night there, or even a spa day if you can afford it.
10. Be a teacher’s pet:-
When the #bride asks for a favour or gives you a #weddingtask to do, do it straight away. Being a teacher’s pet pays off when it comes to keeping your #bride #happy. No bride wants to find out the day before their #wedding that the buttonholes you promised to order have been forgotten or that the #cake still haven’t been picked up. Don’t ever give the bride the excuse to say she’d have been better off doing a task herself!

#Finally, #theday when you get to wear your #dreamwedding #dress had come. It made your  #fiancé gasp in awe, it received tonnes of #compliments from #guests (and plenty of #Instagram #comments and #likes, too); it helped you make it through your #special day while making you feel like the most #beautiful girl in the world. In other words, it did its #job – and it did it well.

But now what? What to do with your #weddingdress after the #wedding?
Shoving the most #sentimental dress you own into your closet or leaving it in some #random dark corner of your home is a bit anti-climatic, don’t you think? So, here are a handful of (#brilliantly #creative) ideas that will help you make the most out of your
#weddinggown , beyond your #weddingday.

1.) Wear it differently:-
Who said you can only #wear your #weddingdress once, when you can wear it in so many other ways? With some #imagination and #serious #sewing #skills, one can turn a wedding #dress into a bustier, a bodice, a full #skirt, a #mini dress, a #blazer… (If you’re not so #confident in the sewing department, take your wedding dress to your trusty tailor and let them work their #magic on it!)

2.) Hand it down for the #future:-
If it’s not yet part of your #family #tradition, you can also consider using your wedding dress as a keepsake. It’s never too far off to think of the future when it comes to #momentous #occasions, so when it’s time to #christen a #child, your #precious keepsake can be updated into another dress or turned into a #christening #gown. #Trust us, it’ll be a #wonderful feeling to see your wedding dress–or a part of it–to be of use again!

3.) Turn it into a pretty DIY (do it yourself) #project :-
If you’re handy with a needle and thread, you can #stretch out your #postwedding #bliss by #diving into some #DIY. With a little #craftiness, you can turn your lace dress into dainty pillow cases for your new nest or create embellished purses and #bespoke #necklaces out of your gown’s beaded fabric. If you have more time and you’re feeling more creative than usual, you could even try sewing a miniature version of your
dress and have it framed professionally. This way, your memories of the dress will never be out of sight.

4.) Sell it :-
What’s a #smart #way to #recoup some of the #wedding #costs, you ask? Well, if you’re someone who would most likely never use (nor lay eyes upon) your #weddingdress again, why not #sell it on a pre-loved wedding gown site. #Themoney you get can go a long way. Haven’t had a #honeymoon yet? #Itching and
#Drooling over the #Kitchen #equipments everyone missed out on the #gift #registry? Putting your #wedding #dress on #sale is a good way to cover these.

MY WEDDING,THE COUNTDOWN

MY WEDDING, THE COUNTDOWN
It was Mr $ Mrs Oyewole's wedding anniversary, the couples want the wedding anniversary to be organized like a wedding reception.
Talking with the couples, I found out their wedding reception a year back was nothing to talk about so they want everything as it is in a wedding reception to  me, I guess it should be called I DO OVER not a wedding anniversary. On a long chat with the couples, they both express their state of mind 2weeks to their wedding which is the rise for this topic :- MY WEDDING-THE COUNTDOWN
I'm a banker and my husband works with a law firm, we are both given 3weeks leave for our wedding,     2weeks before the wedding and 1week after the wedding.
So we have 2weeks to plan our wedding without a professional wedding planner, if you care to know we refused to hired a wedding planner because we belief we can handle it.
Hmmmmmmm as the bride trust on my mind was a fight of phenomenon on how Things would turn out on the D-DAY.
As the groom I have got a myriad of things on my mind. Emotionally, physically, mentally I was down.
DAY 13 :- we went for shopping
DAY 12 :- I called my sister to help get caterer and I also called my friend to help get musical band. DAY 11 :- we both drive inside out of Lekki in search of a cake baker and makeup artist. we booked for cake, No makeup artist yet.
DAY 10 $ 9 :- extra shopping days
DAY 8 :- we booked for decoration, tents' chairs and tables.
DAY 7 :- I finally got a makeup artist through a friend on phone conversation.
DAY 6 :- we booked the caterer and also booked for drinks
DAY 5 :- I got a call from Eric that he couldn't get a musical band cause they have been booked and he introduced a D.J to Me on phone and he booked me down.
DAY 4 :- it was an extra shopping day and after that we went for counseling in church and after the counseling session we waited for the parish pastor. We left the church around 6PM.
DAY 3 :- I woke up not feeling strong, my dad drove me to hospital, the doctor diagnosed that I needed rest and I was hospitalized for 30hrs,I couldn't refuse that with my dad on standby, I called my fiancé and update him. I also felt down hearing such news so I rushed to the hospital and spend my day there.
DAY 2 :- a day to our wedding, I got home around 1PM,everything was going on as expected.
DAY 1 :- the D-DAY,6am we realized everything was wrong, we forgot to hire a photographer,
the Makeup artist was an amateur makeup artist,    we finally got a freelance photographer which we couldn't locate after the wedding, D DJ arrived at the venue around 1pm.

Now the wedding is over, 2days after the wedding no one called us, no congratulation SMS, so we decided to call family and friends to say Hi, but all we could get is a sad stories of our wedding due to falling of tents caused a by heavy rainfall and how most guests went home without a taste of food, cake, E.T.C. That is how we spend 2weeks to our  wedding countdown without a wedding planner, I wish I realize the purpose of a wedding planner before our wedding.

Frequently questions I Ask My Brides

Frequently   questions I  Ask My Brides
Dear Readers:
I am so excited you reading  you  this new article. My wedding pages  are such a treat for me and my audience as I am able to speak one-on-one with so many amazing brides, During my previous  wedding  in abuja, I was asked how I am able to bring the fantasies of my clients to life. As with any idea, a “fairy tale” wedding can have a number of interpretations. I overcome this by asking my brides the obvious questions, but also a few unconventional ones. If you’re a bride who is planning to meet with a wedding planner, you might want to consider thinking about your answers to the following questions. You might find they help you both as you plan the wedding of your dreams.my little advice is to be patience and be willing to answer the questions the wedding planner might want to ask you and the intending groom.
This question always elicits some great feedback and bride’s will usually also mention things they would have done differently. If you listen closely, you’ll gain a lot of insight here. As a bride, asking this question will help you think about what you want your guests to experience on your special day.
Think about the shades you love and loathe and come with a list, Most of my brides love white, creams, pinks and teal green and orange.
knowing what you love becomes far easier when you know what you don’t even want to consider. This will help your planner and designer as well as they will save time with options and have a much better idea of the ambiance you’re looking for.
1.)    How much are you budgeting for your wedding
2.)    What colors do you love and what colors do you hate
3.)    How many guests are you expecting
4.)    Which date is your wedding
5.)    What kind of wedding are you planning for, is it traditional or white wedding
6.)    How many bridesmaids are you intending to have
7.)    Do you like modern, traditional settings  or a mixture of both
8.)    Can you tell me about the last wedding you attended that you loved, and why you loved it
9.)    If you had to describe your wedding in one sentence, how would you describe it
10.)  What kind of music do you prefer for your grand entrance and first couple dance
11.) Do you have any cake design you have being dreaming for wedding
12.) How long have you being engaged

thinking about where you stand can really help a great deal when thinking about your overall design.
Think about center pieces to my great dismay, most brides prefer low not tall center pieces (until I show them the difference!)in terms of tables I prefer the long tables as they leave a lot more room to do interesting decor. However, most of my brides think long tables make the room look like a banquet hall.
I also find out if there will be a reserve tables at the reception, so if the needs arise I will know what to do about it.

To my surprise, most of my brides are more traditional. it’s important to know where you stand. I personally think lighting is very important.       Lighting  it’s a non-negotiable one, In order to create an exciting event, it needs to be light properly
Think about what you want your wedding to be and you’ll have a much better chance of making it come true.

wedding quiz

Before you book your Wedding planner

Before you book your Wedding planner

Hiring the right team is critical to planning your dream wedding ... and it can also be quite stressful.
How do you find the right match for you? How do you know who to trust? Where do you go for advice?
First of all, this is not an easy task and it's totally normal for couples to feel overwhelmed, frustrated and confused.

It's not like you plan a wedding every day! This is all probably brand new to you, so be patient with yourself.

Do Your Homework. You'll get much more out of a meeting or conversation with a weddings planner if you do a little background homework first.

Spend some time in the Internet or talking to friends who've recently been married. Find out the average prices for certain services they know about.

Get an idea of what you like and don't like. wedding websites and chat rooms can be a great resource. This way when you meet with a wedding planner, you'll be able to ask better questions and have an idea of what to look out for.

Meet With Them. An in person meeting is the best way to interview a potential wedding planner. It lets you get the full experience of their personality, style and professionalism. If that's not possible, have a phone conversation.

Ask Questions. There are no stupid questions! Make sure you get clear, specific answers to your questions. If you aren't sure what something means, ask them to clarify. Keep asking questions until you completely understand.

If a wedding planner has a problem with you asking questions, they probably aren't the one for you. The best wedding professionals are patient, understanding and take the time to help you make the best choices for your wedding.

Listen. Don't just hear the words they say, really listen. Watch the vendor's body language. Are they confident and comfortable with their response? do they look and sound nervous? Do you get a "funny feeling" about them? Take all the sights, sounds and feelings into account along with their responses; if your gut tells you something isn't right, it probably not right.
